Why citrus based juice?
The acid in the citrus helps to maintain the chemical properties of the kratom powder, if the chemical properties of kratom are not preserved then the result is a less potent mixture.
How to make Kratom Tea?
Boil water and let it cool down slightly. The alkaloid properties of kratom do not like boiling temperatures. So, we recommend letting the boiled water to cool down slightly, 5-7 minutes after boiling should be enough time to cool down.
Add the desired amount of kratom powder to a cup and add the water that was cooled and mix it in as best as you can. The goal is to try to get the powder to dissolve completely so there are no bits or chunks floating.
As you are mixing the kratom you can begin adding any extra ingredient like honey, sugar, maple sugar or any other sweetener of choice. Kratom on its own doesn’t have the greatest taste so this masks the bitterness. You can also add some lemon juice to maintain the alkaloid properties and give your tea that extra lemony zest.
Alternative method for making Kratom Tea
Boil water and let it cool down slightly as mentioned previously. The alkaloid properties of kratom do not like boiling temperatures.
Take a saucepan or any other product with a spout and that can handle mixing and hot temperatures (no plastics). Mix the hot water (add the amount of water that you will be adding to your cup) and kratom powder; inevitable some chunks may still be present in the mixture. This is where the spout helps, take a cup where you will be drinking from and place a strainer over the cup and start slowly pouring in the mixture. The kratom powder that did not dissolve will be caught by the strainer and you can toss that out once done with pouring.
Add the rest of your ingredients like honey, sugar, maple sugar or any other sweetener of choice.
